marc johns is the coolest artist ever. i found his book Serious Drawings by chance whilst browsing through the MoMA store on my ny art tour in late sept’09. His book is the best darn thing ever - 138 pages of hecticawesomeness on paper and on sticknotes, making the rm60 totally worth it. his ink and watercolour drawings are filled with dry humour, making you laugh in a sorta “hahaha..ha..ha?” way. the man’s a genius; i mean, have you ever seen wrath coming in a 4-pack (or holy water coming in 16oz and 8oz jars)? he takes the word “literally” to a whole new level.
